Marking the debut of director Edward Chen, Segmentation Fault was filmed in June 1999 on location at Caltech/JPL, Pasadena. Although the film was shot on silent super-8, Chen's consummate treatment of the medium and of the actors makes this short into a riveting tale comparable to the best Hitchcock.
